QUO VADIS ...

The symbol of the manor house in Nitrianská Blatnice is the inscription on its tympanon: FESTINA LENTE. The inscription means "Hurry up slowly". We do not know when the inscription was added, but probably during the reconstruction about mid-19th century and the author certainly reflected on it the situation related to the manor house itself.

The manor is a local landmark. It certainly deserves to be alive and to live, to breathe with the current activities and through it presenting its own history.

The philosophy of new functionality or use of the manor is definitely not focused on the services - it will not be a hotel, restaurant or a dance floor. Priority feature will be a silent admiration for history and the future. Activities that will please certain groups of people and that would help raise awareness of the cultural heritage and culture of this part of Central Europe.

The manor house should live, even in cooperation with the public or the professional public. The condition, however, is that the building will be used for non-profit purposes. With these preconditions, you may already understand why it is so difficult to restore, repair, restore and use it. 

​

Here are some plans for future use that may not be feasible, which could partially make the manor house available to the general public, in addition to the primary function of private use by the owners:

 

A / REGIONAL MUSEUM, in cooperation with the municipality of Nitrianska Blatnica, or another regional museum.
